back home...

Wow...what a hectic past couple of weeks....

The Europa Supershow was a lot of fun, even though I didn't crack the top five, like I had hoped to do. I ended up placing eighth. I did manage to achieve the personal goal I had set for myself, which was coming in the tightest and smallest ever. There wasn't a scale handy, but I wouldn't be surprised if my weight had dropped into the double digits by the time I stepped on stage. I was barely 103 lbs. the day before I flew out of Fort Lauderdale. Ironically, I was told that I needed to fill out more. So, I erred on the side of being too small and depleted. Looking back at some of the pictures, I do agree that I could have eaten some more.

Congratulations to all the beautiful ladies with whom I shared the stage, particularly fellow GNC athlete, Michelle Adams (www.michelleadams.net) on her second place, Olympia qualifying position, and good friend Mavis Tozzi (www.mavistozzi.com) on her triumphant return to the stage, placing eleventh.

I flew home just in time to throw my daughter's
fourth birthday party. I am very nicely filled out now....with CAKE!!!!! And a lot of it! Yes, folks - that's TWO cakes!

The next day, our part of Florida came under the threat of a hurricane. So this past week has been crazy at the grocery stores and gas stations. Though Tropical Storm Ernesto never made it to hurricane strength, we still lost a couple of days during the week, due to everything being closed and boarded up in anticipation. I'm just now getting caught up with laundry, groceries, and housework!
